I believe God put the family that I have in my life to lead me to where I am today. My uncle is the soccer coach for Southwestern Adventist University, so I would come from time to time during high school to see him and watch the games. The environment that surrounded me felt comforting and the people here were very friendly. As soon as I found out this school was based around God, I knew I had to stay here. My main goal in life is to get closer to God and this school has done just that.
There has definitely been a huge growth in my spiritual life, from vespers to dorm worships. Each day, I’m learning more and more about my Creator. I’ve had the opportunity to meet such amazing people to help me with my journey. Whenever I felt lonely or down, there was always someone there to cheer up. God has always sent someone to help reassure me that everything will be okay. We can all take comfort knowing that we’re all brothers and sisters in Christ.
I grew up in a Catholic family and I’m proud to say that last semester, I decided to commit to a real relationship with Christ. I decided to give my life to Jesus and was baptized as a Seventh-day Adventist. God has truly blessed my life since I came to SWAU.
